About Our Watch, Clock, and Barometer Repairs in Hunter's Hill

The workshop is situated in leafy Hunter’s Hill, an historic suburb of Sydney; it's purpose-built period style building houses an important turret clock as its centrepiece. The area abounds with first settlers’ sandstone buildings and a healthy number of cafes and restaurants.

Carl Parker, having practised his trade in the Swiss watch industry for fifteen years, was afforded the opportunity to travel to Switzerland on various occasions, to study in advanced workshops. This availed him the subsequent trips around Australia and New Zealand, sharing his knowledge and expertise.

There was a glaring need in Australia for a specialist workshop, able to manufacture parts in the restoration of antique and vintage watches, clocks, chronometers, musical boxes, barometers and automata. In 1982, "Parker Time" was established, serving this niche market. An extensive array of manufacturing machine tools, raw materials, together with divers accessories were obtained for this endeavour.
